We’ve had him about 9 months now and he keeps going into my son’s room to do his business. Even after he comes in from outdoors. We’ve even had him on a schedule. I constantly keep him in his cage and we hate doing that. I just don’t know what else to do. It seems like all I do is scrub my son’s floor.

I’ve noticed in the past few days that my fish seem more iridescent — especially my silver molly, and the very tips of my swordtail’s fins (they almost look a shiny green — he’s orange). I haven’t changed the tank’s light source, and the lights in the room are the same as well. I haven’t changed the type of food I feed my fish either — they’re on a flake & freeze dried bloodworm diet. (I have been feeding a little more flakes than normal, though, I think.) Any ideas?

20 gallon tank:
1 male swordtail
1 female silver sailfin molly
3 brilliant rasboras
2 glass catfish (had 3; 1 recently died)
5 ghost shrimp
1 pleco
The filter was just changed last week, and there are no dots — definitely not ich. They fish are behaving normally, eating normally, not scratching against the driftwood, etc.

Okay for a while I’ve been having weird dreams about animals being hunted by other animals, usually it is outside my house and in my yard but occasionally the dreams take place inside my room, or other living area of the house. The animals usually vary, so far I can remeber a pack of coyotes, a grizzly bear, A moutain lion, and a wild dog. My dreams also tend to involve either my 3 cats, or deer. Nothing has actually been killed in my dreams, I’m just wanting to know what they are about.. . please help if you can, and thank you in advance.

We bought our daughter a male betta for Christmas and it wasn’t long before the tank (2.5 gallons) started smelling – strong enough that her whole room smelled like the tank. The fish is fine – eats well(pellets) and is active. We are just surprised at the stank – the guy at the petstore said to change the water once a month but it seems like it needs it once a week. I appreciate any input on this – thanks!

Everyone seems to gravitate to one room more than others. Has the room you like to be in now the same as it always been? If not why has it changed?
As for me? I love the sunroom. I have a panoramic view of the mountains, can see all the birds and squirrels in the trees outside. I also grow most of my plants in that room. It gives me a sense of being outdoors, which is very relaxing and soothing for me.
Imahlah- You will have a home someday. I used to think I would never have a place just my own….always keep dreaming for the house and anything else you desire. Dreams are what hopes are made of and without hope? We don’t really live. Thank you for answering my question.
