I have shot deer up to about 150 lbs with 300 jhp's, 405 slat nose and the 325 hornady's. I have had the best performance on these small Ozark mountain deer from the 300 grain jhp's. However, I have not had any of the 6 or 8 deer taken with my 45/70 run farther than 30 yards after the shot.

talk to your wife about your frustrations without saying "your stupid family"... just tell her you dont like the way they make you feel and that it seems they are always criticizing you.
you could consider moving if that is an option, or you could just see your inlaws less. They seem to be judging you based to STUPID things because they are just trying to find differences....find the similarities and point them out when you see them, and maybe they will mellow out.
My sister's inlaws are like that, and she moved her family to another state.

Do not, repeat do not, perform an illegal abortion. Put the coat hanger down. That is a crime and you can get in trouble. Besides, the guppie may be too far along and it could end up being a partial birth abortion. Gross!!!

To me it's not a matter of ethics, but practicality and cost of ammo. I'd use a .22

Yes, I do know a couple sites that are great resources for the beginning bass wanna be, to the bass fishing pro. When I started bass fishing, it wasn't easy. I had several trips to the lake were I didn't catch any bass at all. It takes alot of practice, and research. Catching bass for the average fisherman is mostly luck, but for the serious bass fisherman, it is alot of work, studying, and research. You have to learn the conditions of the water, temperature, barometric pressure, time of year/season, as well as moon phase, etc... I caught many many little bass before I started catching 5+ pounder bass. I would suggest going to your local bookstore, such as Borders books, and get a book called "Bass Wisdom" by Homer Circle. It is an excellent book, and costs about 20 dollars. It will help you a great deal. And yes, hooking into a huge bass is very exciting. I would also suggest you watch a show called "People who fish" hosted by two twins, who's names I can't remember. It is on the outdoor channel 3 times a week. Check your listings. It is a great show because they actually show you tips and techniques for fishing different fish. The first link is to a tips page. The second site is also a tips page, and the last link is to a page with articles for beginning bass anglers. Have fun, and tight lines.
PS, here is a link to the top 100 bass fishing web sites. You can go through them at you liesure. The very last link is to the actual book "Fishing for Dummies", but I recomend the other resources I suggested. Tight lines
